Books read in 2010…

Perhaps a little early to have the final list, given that we have just under three weeks left, but I figured I would save myself the majority of typing now and just add to the list at the end of the year.

Any books with an LGBTQ theme are highlighted for ease of reference and those of particular merit in my opinion (ie those that I especially enjoyed LGBTQ or not) are also highlighted.  As are those that I wouldn’t read again or recommend highlighted, though I am glad to say that they are rather thin on the ground this year. This year I particularly enjoyed reading the Paddington books, 27 years old and this is my first time around with them, absolutely laugh out loud at times, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them and cannot believe that I have never managed to read them before now.

Also I found a few new authors to be partial to: E L Konigsburg, Jerry Spinelli, Sara Pennypacker, Michael Bond, Tess Gerritsen and of course the indomitable Primo Levi.

All in all a very pleasing and generally satisfying reading year it must be said.

About Nerdsbian

I am a nerd for ALL seasons. I am a genderqueer wlw Librarian who unsurprisingly likes reading...a lot But I love being outside too...sometimes even reading at the same time. Also animals, any and all of them. Never yet met one that didn't get on with me and vice versa. I do a couple of different voluntary jobs (animal charity related) and have recently completed my MA.
